but then how many players do you see who just love playing for one particular manager...Look at how well the current crop of players have taken to Slade...

Sometimes, players are shit because they don't get on with a manager for whatever reased...You just need to look at Loft & Hart since Slade arrived to see the proof.

I'm not and have never been a fan of Luke Rodgers. However, I have always thought he had potential and it appears that Slade may be the man who can help him realise that.

So does that mean that Forster/Murray/Davies loses out to him? I love Slade but I hope he doesn't bring him in. Although tbh I think it's just another nothing story (fingers crossed)

Lloyd Owusu was previously contracted to Cheltenham Town.

His wages, therefore, can't be THAT high.

We need Owusu as a back up for Fozzy and Muzza who have both become sicknotes. OGH is a playmaker and Davies needs to get into a scoring frame of mind. 5 strikers vying for first team starting places cant be wrong can it ?

If we want to challenge at the other end of the table we need good strikers and a vast amount of options. Having Forster and Murray upfront is great but being supported by Owusu and Davies would be a play off challenging attacking line, plus you have the ever handy Gary Hart.

Bench player for brighton
OR
First team for adelaide on 10X the wages we can give him....??

Well if Murray and Forster continue to be unfit for a quarter of the season then he will get many opportunities. also just because i am labeling him as a bench player doesn't mean that he will remain on the bench for the whole of the season.

Forster is getting older and i think it is important we get this lad in. Also he is a very family orientated guy and he DJ's in a lot of clubs in England so life and money is good anyway.

I'd get to meet him which would be nice, and i think we have enough strikers already so it would be good to see him come to Aus, i think he would do well at Adelaide.

I get a bit worried about all this talk of "WHEN Murray anf Forster are fit" - IF Murray and Forster are fit would be more appropriate. I'll be surprised if either of them play more than 20 games next season..........................

Owusu is going to want first team football where ever he goes and here he ain't going to be first choice. If I were in his boots, Adelaide would be pretty appealing. Afterall, he'll be 33 this year so his next contract could be his last.

I think we need Hart over Owusu. Offers that little bit different and will be content with reserve team football till he gets his chance.

Next season will be enough competition up front, we need to focus on bosting the midfield and defence.
