Don't. There was only a token coach which I passed on the M25&M23 on the way down, and that was only half full. 28 fans tops, and they all had a trip to the seaside.

There was 300 coming down in coaches, but the police radioed for motorway patrols to stop them and turn them round before they came to far down.

Superb effort. Make sure you bring Simon to the rearranged game midweek.

I didn't go to the game, but I still went for post match beers at the usual time in The Station after what would have been the final whistle. Didn't see why I should miss out on that just coz the ref fancied a day off.

Only came down from Reading...so not much time or money wasted there !!!
On the subject of ' out of county ' fans, I reckon we have our fair share and home gates are probably made up of something like 10-15% from outside Sussex.

This would be typical of an away game. But a home game? No way.

Checked on club website just before 1300 and was relieved to see that the game was on. Me and a friend drove down, wondered why there were no buses outside P&R at Mithras and heard SCR announce game off just as a steward was about to tell us the same. Not happy as it was my first match this season (bad fan!) but it did at least give me the chance to drive my wife's new motor for the first time.

I know quite a few out of county fans who attend the home games - myself included and would expect us to account for approx 10% of attendees.

Caught 12.15pm flight from Salzburg to Gatwick. Landed at Gatwick at 1.20pm (they're one hour in front). Left Gatwick at 2.00pm and listened to CD on way down. Noticed that Mill Lane was open to traffic. Drove on towards ground. Realised game was off so drove to Chelmsford to see my bros' new-born baby. Then drove back home to Staffordshire.

Not looking forward to the re-arranged midweek game!
