I don't want to worry you but Lawrenson says:

"I would back Brighton to beat them, though, and the Seagulls might fancy a bit of a FA Cup run this year because they have got a bigger squad, and there is a bit of a buzz about the way they are playing under Graham Potter"

We should fancy it every year. We're not a League 1 team any more, we have a genuine chance of winning it. And before all the 'League is more important' bores get stuck in I would just like to point out that all three relegated clubs got knocked out in the 3rd Round last year. So anyone who thinks a Brighton defeat on Saturday is automatically a blessing in disguise is wrong.

As much as I love winding my mate up who is a big Owls fan, I do have a lot of sympathy for them. They were taken over by someone who was apparently promising the earth, had a lot of money, but unfortunately knew bugger all about football.

Their fans dared to dream and soon realised that this clown didn't know what he was doing. Fake sponsorships, his name all over the stadium and shirts, selling the stadium cause he has spent too much money on has been mercenaries. It looks like he is only in it to boost his own ego. Thank god we have Tony Bloom.

This isn't the fans fault and yes they are a big club with mostly decent supporters, although I encountered a few of their morons after the semi final play off at hillsborough. Most of the fans I spoke to were very knowledgable.

And if the boot was on the other foot and they were doing well they would be on every other clubs fans forums giving it large.

Someone put on here they’d sold out 3,000 and we’re likely to ask for more? But think it was Crodo and for some reason it’s probably bollocks! Anyone know?

Dunno how many they've sold, their initial allocation was just under 2,500. The club has been selling blocks S1A and S1F to home fans. I think S1F is normally an away block when a Premier League side take the full 3000 so it looks unlikely they would have got anymore tickets.

I was on a tram back into the city centre after the play off semi final. Some of their fans managed to start an argument between themselves and it proceeded to kick off when they all got off at the same stop. One guy was on the deck getting lumps kicked out of him by three others. This is after their biggest win in years.

Well, I would say that that should cheer them up a bit, but to be honest, given the choice between going through with a bad injury to our top scorer, or going out, but with no injuries, I would have taken our outcome.

I've just taken a glance at our old adversaries on the Wednesday forum and the general tone seems remarkably bleak over there. If memory serves, although they didn't take to us very much, they were generally fairly chirpy. Perhaps it's a run of bad results, perhaps it's being repeatedly denied their rightful place in the top division, perhaps it's watching Sheffield United leapfrog them and push for Europe. Whatever the cause, at present, it seems very much a case of

Sheffield Wednesday?
