Hey guys owls fan in peace who's coming down on saturday and like many fellow supporters will be stopping over , Was just wondering if any of you can point me in the direction of a decent curry house that's reasonably priced aswell for the saturday night as well as somewhere to drink before the game and in the evening.

Will answer any questions you have about team also

Cheers
Tommy

Loads of decent curry houses in Brighton though they all tend to be pretty pricey. I'm presuming you'll want somewhere quite central, so best go to Nooris. Or the raj pavillion which is half way between withdean and town, is very good. Where are you staying?

For drinks, it depends what you are after really. For real ale, try the nelson / battle of trafalgar / evening star / basketmakers (all near the station).

The weather forecast is good so its probably worth checking out some of the bars on the seafront. They're actually over the road down at beach level.

Don't know how old you are, or what you're into but if you're after a club it's looking a bit of a weak night for some reason (and it's my birthday)... Have decided on Timo Maas at digital, which should be interesting.

Beers before the game around the station at the evening star or prince Albert. Curry after the game at the shahi near Preston circus then move back into town for drinks in the evening. If you want a curry in town then go to the chilli pickle

I hope you have your rooms booked as it's the Brighton marathon Sunday with 20,000 plus runners and all the supporters that go with it heading to Brighton this weekend!!! Anyway as a 40 somthing father of 3 it's a long time since i headed out into town although you cant go wrong with the seafront bars.

Ah, you probably want west street or the sea front then.

Would still recommend Nooris or the chilli pickle, but it may be worth booking. Check out their websites.

Google maps is your friend. Before the game if it's sunny the seafront is always good, if not the area around Brighton station like Notters said there's loads of good pubs round there.

In the evening west street is the centre but is generally chain pubs and there's much better places in the lanes which is the area bordered by west street, north street and old steine. I'd just have a walk round and see what you like the look of.
For clubs if you want better music then seafront is best, if you want easier girls and commercial music then west street is for you.

If there's more than four blokes in a group they won't let you in alot of bars in the evening, or if they think you're pissed up footie fans.

What happened last night ? Four goals and a clean sheet was not in the script as a build up to Saturday.
I've just been on OwlsTalk and there are one or two threads of people suggesting that Sheff Wed are unbeatable if they show the form of the past two games, and that they've finally stumbled on a decent strike partnership.

I'm not sure what to make of this. Wednesday will certainly be a different proposition to their side of a 2 weeks ago, but on the other hand I can't help feeling those fans are getting a bit gobby simply because they've had back to back wins for the first time in 5 months.

We do seem to be coming up against teams in form at the moment, maybe that's why we have struggled a little as we have won and in Rochdale's case drawn. I'd settle for 1 point before kick off against Wednesday.

I think we could do with 6 points from the Sheff Wed & Daggers games to settle any nerves as we have a tough final few games:

Brighton v Sheff Wed, 15:00
Brighton v Dag & Red, 19:45
Walsall v Brighton, 15:00
Brighton v Southampton, 15:00
Colchester v Brighton, 12:15
Brighton v Huddersfield, 15:00
Notts County v Brighton, 15:00

Mind you, Southampton are away to Orient then away to Rochdale, while Huddersfield play Peterborough on Saturday so there is plenty of scope for dropped points elsewhere coming up.

We'd be getting gobby if we'd just saved ourselves from relegation. It will be a tough old game Saturday. Wednesday looked good against us, and they will bring that into the game. However, like always, if we get an early goal they might think "here we go again".

Agree with that, don't think we'll much against saints or udders but wins in the next two games should be enough for promotion
