Owen is more interested in his racing and buying, training thoroughbreds and football is more a part time job / hobby for him so do we actually want him especially if he wants £ 40k a week ? Could be another Vicente but at twice the price.

Yeah I know. But I am sure there are some people on here who still think this is all a possibility.
He's actually said recently that horse racing is just a hobby for him and that he plans to stay in football, in coaching or management when he retires. He clearly does love football but because he has had so many injuries and therefore missed a lot of games people assume he is not interested.
Michael Owen will always be a legend for me because of how well he played and how many goals he scored for England for years.
Unfortunately this rumour is complete bollox though.

if he could stay fit - yes please. for me the most natural english goalscorer i've seen over the last 14 years thats currently still playing.
if he can't stay fit - i want him nowhere near the team. sick to death of vicente's shit legs! can't handle another crock. too frustrating.

Is he any good anymore though ? Its a similar situation to Vicente, yes Vicente USED TO BE GOOD but now he should retire and stop wasting everyone's time. I think Owen would be a bad signing but as you say it bollocks anyway.

vicente is not on 20k sources are led to believe. he would most probably have recieved a good signing on fee. same goes to CMS. i'd imagine the highest paid player is CMS on something like 12K per week.

CMS is on 17k, I heard from a first team player who will remain unnamed. Apparently a few resent CMS as he is on 4-5 times that of many first team players.

To be fair no ! I am not privy to his wage slip but lots of people have said that figure. He must be on a decent bung surely ?
