No Southwick is not a shithole at all. Its f***ing boring but it is in no way a shithole.

Newhaven is run down in parts and not the wealthiest place in the world, and there might be a few nutters there, but it has more character than a Hove suburb by a mile.

BINFESSSSSST!

Back on topic (if anyone still cares) I DO have some sympathy with those that bought in the last 2 to 3 years. A young couple with minimal deposit money and maybe some student debt wanting to settle down and get on the property ladder have f***-all hope unless they have some parental assistance.

Unfortunately, British people generally don't want to know about the nitty-gritty of mortgages, endowments and investments, but there are times in life when you HAVE to listen to financial advice and consider the commitments, risk and rewards.

TV programmes haven't helped. None of these "Property Ladder" DIY- developer type programmes EVER mention the tax consequences of selling, talking about profit as if all of it can go into your back pocket when, in fact, that's bollocks.

Being called a nob by some IT Johnny from Reigate with 8 billion posts on a website is a new low for me, granted.
Bless. There's you with 1,700 odd posts in the past 3 months (more than me in the same time) and you're attempting to use my large post count as something to beat me with. You always have been soundbite over substance though.

OK, what is it that you do that makes you so special (proper usage of the word)?
Something menial and low paid by the sounds of it.
