For me, it is not to much the fact that we lost (although the 'R' word is becoming a very real worry), it was the manner of the defeat and the size of the gulf between the two teams. Irrespective of their position, we should be giving MK Dons a game, especially at home - but they were streets ahead of us last night.

I do love the way that any pleas for people to calm down are coming from those who weren't at the game, while those of us that were can see and recognize a desperate and worsening situation when we see one. Taxi for Mr Adams, sadly.

We gave up after their 2nd goal, unforgivable imo. MK Dons were far more up for it than we were which is also unforgivable given the shit this team and manager have produced for 80% of the season.

No over reaction, just what I see on the pitch and it is not good enough however good the oppostion were, teams that give up need a change of manager..

Why SHOULDN'T we "expect to beat them"?

I'll answer that for you;- because we are CRAP, and because we deservedly sit in the relegation-likely zone. So, no - we shouldn't expect to beat them in that case.

Honestly Berol, if you were a dog, you would see sense in chasing your own tail

A point well made. I went with my lad last night for the first time in a few weeks and couldn't believe how poor we were and how serious the decline is. We were dreadful everywhere and for pretty much the entire game. I could count on the fingers of one hand the decent moves we put together. We were outclassed in every respect and outfought. Discipline was poor, coaching appears non-existent, the crowd were depressed and even after the opening goal I don't think anybody thought we could go on to win the game - even the players. It is relegation form and more seriously it is no way to attract a crowd in difficult economic times. The players on paper appear to have talent but the finger must point to the managerial and coaching team
who fail to translate that onto the pitch.

oh f***ing hell, i'm getting tired of people like you. We didn't try, our defence was all over the place; basically if Dick doesn't do something we are going down. when did we ever conceed 4 goals a home TWISE last season? Under the manager that wasn't taking us forward...?

When diehard fans are losing interest the gulf between players and fans seem greater than ever and people are spending their limited funds on other pursuits then you have to worry.

Forget where we finish this season and current form I am worried about our fanbase and how many people are going to continue to turn up and watch the Albion in the future.

Worrying times

I really don't think we were as bad as people are making out. In the first half we had some spells of good football, especially for the first 20 minutes, then they came back into it, I feel we went into half time doing well. Second half they knew how to handle us and their system was working well, I think we showed spirit when we got the second goal and still when we went 4-2 down we continued to try for the third goal. I don't think you can accuse the team of not trying.

It should be noted that Don Quixote became melancholy as he became older so his namesake should be forgiven if he prefers not to see the sad decline of our team.

Sorry, I am not one of the Adams out brigade, but your view is too one sided. After we scored what was a very good goal, I remember them being camped in our penalty area while they won at least 10 corners in a 20 minute spell. The equaliser was inevitable. We had no possession, we could not hold the ball upfront, and we struggled to clear it from our half at all at times. I only remember us having one other shot in the first half from a quick turn by Forster.

And when we scored the second goal we suddenly became suicidal and threw both centre halfs forward making it easy for them to score a fourth.

As someone who has only been twice this year, did anyone else who went last night take any positives out of the game as there seems to be a hell of a lot of rational people who went last night who seem seriously worried by what they saw!

Exactly!, i know people who are stopping going because of our position and i'm surprised we are still getting over 5000 in our position. Cant see us getting anything next week either really after that performance, and we have even thought about giving up the train tickets to the game after our most recent performances.
