Thanks for this. Just booked myself in for Monday, and second jab first week of May.

Pleased to hear it, these days all you need is a shiny suit and you can be a 'Sales Director', put an excel spreadsheet together and you can be a 'Data Analyst', be socially inept and you can be a 'Technical Specialist', be totally incapable of using the English language and you can be a 'Social Media Influencer', but if you want to really know about gardening it takes years and years of hard work, practice, and a huge capacity for learning.

Proper skills that need to be protected

We are just back from vaccination at the Brighton Centre . It is very well organised throughout and you can park very close for free in the Churchill Square car park on the ground floor. They are not too busy so spread the word for over 65s to book direct on line and do not wait for the letter. The sooner we are all vaccinated the quicker we can get back to watching the Albion live at the Amex.

Me too, first jab done. Very quiet, in fact I was done and out before I was even supposed to be there!

I tried at 1.15pm today and it said you had to be 70 or over.

this. nhs site still says 70

If you go the NHS site it only gives you Brighton Centre and talks about over 70's but that has been changed to over 65's AND includes everyone in these categories

Had mine to day phoned up on tuesday.

I watch with interest the vaccination figures every day. I think that the vaccination rate will ramp up even more with an improved supply line and a younger age group willing to travel a little further rather than wait for the phone call from the local doctors surgery. I had mine three weeks ago so that gives me a little more confidence in general daily life.

There is supposed to be a bit of a lull for the next few days before the next ramping up.......no doubt there will be a load of wailing from some quarters if/when the numbers do tail off a bit, but it looks as though we’ll be heading towards a million jabs a day before the end of the month. Remarkable.

If you are over 56 you can book your jab on line now.

Meant to thank you as had mine with other over 60’s early last Sunday morning. Very quick and efficient. Only downside was seeing how old I f*^**** am!

Is the centre open to all postcodes? My elder sister is still waiting for hers down in Angmering.

I would have thought so, when I booked mine at the Brighton Centre the next option was Crawley

Yes, it was last night . Earlier in the week the nearest available was Chichester. If you put her details in name, postcode etc you can see without booking where is available.

Have to say the vaccination rate is moving at a very impressive clip

It is indeed. I had my first jab at Christ's Hospital School a couple of weeks back, it was run like a military operation, l counted 56 of us squeezed into the gymnasium for the 3.34pm appointment, in and out inside half an hour, and that includes the 15 minute waiting period post jab.

Feel so proud of the doctors, nurses, auxillary staff, and all the volunteers that make this happen on a daily basis, hats off to them all.
