How exactly do you propose to get the two groups to congregate together to create one voice one song ??.

There was actually a brief noise from the west audible in the north today Been a while šŸ¤”
North was quite quiet in general

I seem to recall a guy who was known as The Judge, but can't remember seeing his name mentioned recently.
Perhaps his sentences were too short.

Itā€™s really not. RDZ called for extra effort and our end and our ultras delivered a library
No they didn't
The atmosphere was great for the first 15 minutes.
Then the players started knocking it about a bit aimlessly and took the edge off a great start.

It was ever thus.

The North stand started well.
Not sure why you think RDZ's rallying call was just aimed at the North though.

Pretty sure they made a better attempt at it than all the West Stand lot.

I didnā€™t realise he only was talking to the North when he said that? I was in top of north and sang non stop as usual as did everyone around me.
If it bothers you so much come and pay less and join us cos you sure ainā€™t making much noise where you are. West is silent every match. Embarrassing.

from south west corner the north sounded decent today
Good to hear. Was starting to think am I going bloody mad - was stood in the North and thought it was decent across the north today bar a few anxious spells when things went flat on the pitch.
Came really alive when things came alive on the pitch. Ebbed and flowed with the game. Decent overall.

Yep near me. Quite a number of us joined in but to no avail, the silence from the north was deafening.
The teenagers who sit behind me. It was a tad incoherent to be fair.

I'm going to be controversial here and say the singing, across the piece, was fine.

I also enjoyed the game (up to the sending off) and I left at 85 minutes. It was what it was

I donā€™t want to do my uncle Albert bit about ā€œwhen I was in the Ajax home endā€¦..ā€ but bloody ell, yeah I couldnā€™t hear a thing from the away end but my boy in there said it was great.

Just do your own thing, sing, shout, boo, cheer, whatever. Do your best, if it ainā€™t good enough, who cares?

The two different groups singing separate chants at the same time is an utter joke and always has been. The way that basically every stadium in the world works is that there is a singing section that starts chants and other stands join in. Essentially a conductor and an orchestra. The North fundamentally fails to do it's job most matches. There is a section of fans in there that have a superiority complex and don't seem to give a shit if the atmosphere is rubbish. They just want to feel like the best fans in the stadium.
Itā€™s not as bad as when theyā€™re both singing the same chant but started it at different times

He was a regular but I heard he bailed out
Why? Seems a bit 'look at me' to step up to 'lead' the singing then decide it would be better to go shopping at Hanningtons with the missus on a match day.

What about all of the wonderful WSUppers who were apparently the best fans the club ever had

Unfortunately there just aren't enough people in the North for it ever to make the noise our fans want it to.
The only way we will ever make the levels of noise that will be deemed acceptable is for the West stand to step up and contribute to comparable levels of the North.

The play off semi, against Sheff Wednesday was magnificent.
Only because the West stand played their part.
The North can never match that. 10,000 fans singing will always outdo 3500.

Are the other areas recognised as singing sections now then?

Normally the north leads and others follow.

It doesnā€™t help that there are two sections within the north singing different songsā€¦.
ā€œRecognised singing sectionā€ that sums up everything thatā€™s wrong with modern football matches !

Really ?
Youā€™re at a football match, if you want to sing just sing
