I did warn your fans about this.

A team that plays football or has young, skilful players gets chopped down frequently.

Or, like Burnley yesterday, they get frustrated and end up lashing out.

Swansea got their players kicked up in the air for 2 years, added a few players who could give the kicking back and were then the best team in the league last year (they were better than QPR and Norwich but when they were poor, they were shite).

I hope Poyet sticks to his ways of football and doesn't give up on it if he gets a few injuries and refs stop giving decisions.

You think the shower of shite your team served up is better? Lol

On the evidence of yesterday, you'll be in league 1 before you know it.

May be, we are on the down and need to turn it round for sure.... but beware....the Championship is full of plastics thinking they're better than they are. Believe me there are better playing teams than Brighton in the division.

Portsmouth were outwitted and outclassed by a technically superior team yesterday. All they had in their locker was dirty tackles and grunt.

A backward city, a dimwit wurzel of a manager and dog shit support.

Oh and Fratton Park is a dirty, ramshackle hovel.

You are the deluded one mate. Your team are an absolute disgrace whose only tactic was to foul whenever possible. I would far rather watch us week in week out than watch your long ball, dirty team. Yes, we weren't brilliant yesterday and that song does make me cringe but we deserved to win. Kitson should have been sent off and you could easily have had more bookings. To be fair, there is nothing to recommend Portsmouth. Complete dump, deluded and unpleasant fans, a dirty team and long ball manager. Glad we won't be going there again this season (although will probably draw you in the FA Cup).

You've been watching the lower leagues too long Finchley. Your other comments.............

Here's a possible solution: have you thought about buying a load of players you can't afford with money you don't have?

What is it with Hampshire clubs and financial mismanagement, out of interest? Aldershot- bust. Farnborough Town- bust. Southampton- admin. Pompey- enough said.

Does all sense of propriety disappear up the chuffer the second one crosses the county boundary?

A strange stance for a Brighton supporter to take....you must be new to football ?

Nah, our chairman bought the stadium with £94 million out of his own pocket, as is well documented. He's a lifelong fan, you know. Not some shady Russian mafioso or Far Eastern shyster with no connection to the city and nothing but pound signs in his eyes. Our promotion team cost, what, £300k for Greer, £300k three seasons ago for Murray, £300k odd for Noone, pennies for Barnes and Bennett. Most of the rest were free or youth team products.

Whereas you paid Sol Campbell £90k a week. Yeah I can see where the comparison lies

Typical deluded Pompey fan. I bet you think its all your fans that have suffered the most too, don't you?

Never went into admin and never robbed the taxpayer or any schools, charities or ambulance volunteers to my knowledge.

All clubs have debts. It's how you face up to those that separates us. And you lot have the nerve to say your fans have suffered.

Hmmmm! As a Pompey fan I saw it slightly different. We lost....so be it.......but I was mightly unimpressed by Albion yesterday. Gus Poyet has your team employing South American tactics of diving and rolling about on the floor not seen from an opposition at Fratton since the early eighties. Truly awful to watch to the extent I hope sincerely your team gets a solid thumping from someone soon. Sour grapes ? May be ......but really, I don't want to have to pay so much money to watch that kind of rubbish again.

I know loads of our fans are getting carried away with our start to the season and maybe getting a little ahead of themselves but it is nothing compared to dreamworld you appear to be currently living in. We have not had a player who consistently dives/play-acts since Leon Knight and he left in 2006...The only sly tactic that can legitimately be levelled at us would be that we have been known to slow the game down if we are winning.

As for Pompey, they are one of the niggliest teams I have seen in while and could not handle having the opposition pass the ball round them so resorted to committing fouls...And lots of them. So enjoy living in your dreamworld which I would imagine is a darn sight better in living in that timewarp of a city...Portsmouth makes Littlehampton look like Monte Carlo!

Albion & England forever.

Why is anyone surprised about yesterday?

Surely you remember Pompey kicking and whining their way to defeat at Withdean in January too?
