If Huddersfield come to Withdean on 30th April needing 3 points to leapfrog Southampton would you be happy if we let them win costing us our undefeated home record as well as costing Southampton automatic promotion

Why would we let them win? We are aiming for 100 points are we? We won't just let a team win just so they can get promoted, but I suppose it would really piss off Soton, which is obviously a good thing.

I think we should keep it tight at Withdean, not loose.

FFS - to go undefeated at home throughout a whole season is an amazing achievement. We have only done it once before in our Football League history. Let's beat Southampton & Huddersfield and let them sort out second spot between themselves.

If that is the senario that we are faced with then we are in a win,win situation as long as it's not a draw.
Yes we want to stay undefeated at home but I can't forget the stitch up in 1979 when scc & spurs played out a 0.0
draw to prevent us from going up.

Southampton are just another team, we need to stop concentrating on their season and win this title tomorrow.

Ridiculous suggestion - as if either Gus or the players are likely to want to do anything less than beat whoever's in front of them. As Gus has said, he wants us to keep this winning mentality going into the Championship.
If Southampton end up second, they'll have earned it and we'll have a south coast derby next season.

This. Keep the fortress mentality going for the Amex. Always win your home games and try to get something away = promotion candidates

I want Southampton to get promoted and Bournemouth and Palace to stay up and West Ham to get relegated and Reading to stay in the Championship.

PS; Anything less than a 7-1 win against Huddersfield would be less than ideal.

I'd like to see SCC stay down but I want to see Huddersfield move above them of their own accord. Hopefully they can take advantage when we beat Saints next week. If it came to it though, I'd rather seen Southampton go up with us and go unbeaten at Withdean this season rather than Huddersfield go up with us and we fall at the last hurdle.

don't forget hudds manager also shown himself to be a wanker!
plus Southampton is an easy away game

we should just do as well as we can, make this season as perfect as possible. Let the rest worry about themselves.
