Obviously Dunk made a poor challenge and we seem to have found our latest scapegoat.

But our substitutions throughout this season...discuss

you do realise we are joint top ?

Yes, but many of our fans are reacting in a way to suggest otherwise.

I'm delighted about our season so far but it would be childish to think we've been perfect and one thing that often seems to let us down are our substitutions

Disagree , we invite pressure . Look at Leicester last night kept two up front right till the end and won . We have no out ball when it's just Bobby .

Just take the point and move on. Uwe and Crofts weren't on long enough to have an impact.

Any examples?

Tonight CH had to bolster the midfield to try and hang onto the lead, so he brought on Crofts.
He also had to fill in the blank space left by Dunk, so bough on Uwe.
I would have personally kept Wilson on.

Two knackered front men who had been chasing shadows and 0-2 up - seemed like a good call to me to make those changes.

Birmingham was one match that highlighted it for me. We seemed very comfortable then took off Hemed for Ince and spent then following10 minutes biting finger nails

Saturday was a classic case of the right substitution when Ince came on. Hemed and Wilson were knackered, Bobby coukd hold the line for 10 mins and we have an extra body in midfield. Then Ince decides to do his party piece.

The only criticism you could give tonight was if you called Dunk getting sent off before it happened and thought Uwe should come on but thats aftertiming. Like most weeks, the right subs were made at the right time.

Bottom line is you can rarely call Hughtons subs badly in the context of when they were made. Right subs are being made - just that doesn't always give you the right result.

Fair point, maybe my use of the word often was a poor choice.
