This. O'Grady, Baldock and CMS all work best in a two up top scenario but as we don't play two up top it's not exactly surprising they aren't prolific. The lack of quality in our build up play doesn't help either. Today our ball retention and passing game was shocking. Not sure how the strikers can really be blamed for that.

We NEED to splash on a striker in the summer. £3-5m at least. You get what you pay for most of the time and Bloom needs to realise this.

It's a bit of both to be fair...Quality sides in this division have 4/5 players in and around the box when attacking while we often have 2 at most.It seems we're obsessed with defending and don't do that to well.If you want to progress in this division you need to be an attacking side who's goal is to score goals and not to keep it tight bla bla.

I'll be surprised if we're anywhere near the playoffs next season no matter who we sign...Hughton is mostly to cautious and we've had enough of these types of late.
We play no wingers half the time and one striker most games...Doesn't take a genious to work out why we're shite at scoring goals as our boring tactics never change.

It's a bit of both.Listening to today's match it seemed over and over again the cross was poor, but having said that all the "Strikers" missed straightforward chances and didn't even hit the target. Our midfielders cannot shoot either.
