However, I am feeling more confident now than I have done all season that we will be in the shake-up come April and that we'll be leaving the Nigels for dead.

depends in all honesty ( a quality prem team ) bridcutt, maybe buckley at the moment and some of the younger ones eventually.

And then theres that Spanish bloke if not retired / sacked.

Its a great squad, the only place we are potentially weak is central midfield as sparrow's great form is a recent thing and JFC is a young player so by definition inconsistant.

Now we just need a system to get the best from them.

Agree with the OP we have a decent (but not exceptional compared to some of our rivals) squad. Don't forget Hoskins is still on our books - and hopefully to return some day fitter and in form, ready to compete for a starting place.

Certainly shows we are heading in the right direction and is light years away from the squad we had 2-3 years ago.

Gonzalez, Mattock, Reyes and Vokes are all on loan so only temporary, would be good to get them tied up if they show decent form.
