The Forest Saturday coincides with my day off.

There's no way I would want to miss the game if it were to become 'winner takes all'.
There's no way I would be 'allowed' to go, without jnr.

Tickets go on sale at the end of March.
Forest had better win or preferably lose all their games between now and then.

This will be a brilliant away day with Jnr. Very easy on the train, get a cheap first class seat (weekend) quick walk from the station (avoiding or including the walk through Hooters car park). Hang around three weeks and catch the Milk Race as well...

I can make you feel better here.

This idea that we are crap against lesser teams was true in 2013, but isn't any more. The last time we failed to put away a lesser team was Charlton on Boxing Day, unless you count a draw against 12th placed Bournemouth on 1st January. Since then, we've beaten Port Vale, Birmingham, Doncaster and Millwall. Admittedly they were all 1-0 victories except Vale, but we have won every single one of them, and won deservedly. And in that time, we've only lost to Watford (we were pony, away), Hull (Premier league club, away) and Wigan (unlucky, but they were in form anyway)

So really, I don't think anyone needs to worry about lesser teams any more.

We struggle to break them down where as better teams seem to come to play football and we look better against them. They did attack us, but not from the outset.

They turned up expecting to get dicked, and then after 20 minutes when we had thrown NOTHING at them, they got bored of waiting to withstand a barrage that never came, and grew and grew in confidence.

Entirely self inflicted.

This. One too many times for our management (Jones) to proclaim 'it's gonna be a tough game', and give a very poor side far too much respect. If we had attacked them, we would have won at a canter.

To back-up what you've said, our record at home against teams in the bottom half of the table is P8 W4 D3 L1. That puts us 16th in the table. Away from home we've P9 W6 D2 L1. That puts us 3rd in the table.

So I'd say whilst we have improved in recent matches, we do still have difficulty despacthing the shit teams at home.

As things stand, we are 'ahead' of our immediate rivals for 6th, due to our game in hand. All we can do (and worry about) is winning the next game. If we don't then we look to see how our rivals do. One step at a time.

I don't imagine for one minute anybody has an 'easier' one that us.
What with only 1 guaranteed top 6 team in our last 11 games.

Yes I know:-

1 chicken, 2 chickens, 3 chickens ...

But I imagine every other top 8 team would swap their Easter programme for Hudderfield, Blackpool followed by Yeovil, having begun with Charlton.

I dont know if it would interest you, but I'd love to see how much money you'd be up/down if you backed each result you've picked for the season as a £5 single. Would take a fair bit of time doing it with every team, maybe if you just did it for our games it wouldn't be so time consuming. Would be fascinating to see the results!

Surely that would only be the case if only 1 player was allowed to score.

In every game we have 11 players who are able to play goal attack**, and 9 of those need to step up (8 if Will gets another brace very soon)


**Goal Attack (GA)
The Goal Attack's primary role is scoring and setting up goals.
They can play in the centre third, the attacking third and the goal circle but NOT the defensive third.
The Goal Attack's main duty is to feed the Goal Shooter so they can fire the ball into the net close to the post.
But if the defenders are marking the Goal Shooter then the Goal Attack will often have a shot from nearer the edge of the goal circle.
The Goal Attack must have both strong passing and shooting skills.

Conversely, very few teams have out-classed us at home, but Barnsley were comfortably the better side at the Amex this season, in a true Championship style head scratcher of a game.

The best teams, in my view, were Forest, Wigan and QPR. I could perhaps add Reading, when we went down to ten. Against all of these teams, we played well. This is not an accusation we could level at us against Barnsley.
