Sussex but not by the sea
I'm just looking at Bournemouth, then I'll be just looking at Newcastle. The good news is that so is FH and the team. These threads have a horrible habit of coming back to haunt.

For me it's got to be Newcastle (Cup) as the priority otherwise the season is over apart from league placings
then Bournemouth and Fulham (to beat the hoodoo) and are we allowed to have draws against Villa and City ??

We've been here before this season. 'The next 5 games are all winnable'. Didn't go well, finishing with a wipe out by Croydon lot. Going to be boring & take one game at a time then see where we are.

Intriguing set of fixtures and I would doubt we are the favourite in any of them. Chelsea and Southampton have restarted the Albion motor looking forward to seeing if we can keep it running smoothly.

Got my eye on the cup this year, would love it if we could progress on Sunday.

As for the league games all you can ask for is the opportunity to take points directly off your rivals and we now have that, up to us take it.

See post #22 and the acquiescence by the OP who had raised the same point.

"It was implied.
You said mouthwatering (which I take to mean excitement and optimism, rather than durian, with a hint of vomit)."

Do keep up!

Only you thinks that was implied, when it was nothing of the sort and just looks like a blatant attempt at trying to ridicule someone’s post. Even your take on it implying excitement and optimism still doesn’t define it as easy ! Do you genuinely think that anyone considers fixtures against the likes of Newcastle, Bournemouth, Villa and City are easy when all those teams are above us ?!

Mucked up the quote function!

Just to reiterate, I said season defining, not ‘they’re all winnable’. I never implied anything other than the magnitude of the games.

If we lose all five, season defined as mid table mediocrity.

Fair play - I was in the wrong frame of mind when I first read your post having just received some bad news and had interpreted your ‘do keep up’ response as a sarcastic pop. But reading it again in a better frame of mind it comes across differently this time. Apologies 🤦🏻‍♂️

No worries, mate.
I can't pretend that my posts are as transparently benign as they are intended.

I hope your situation resolves.
Best wishes

Bournemouth, Fulham and Villa. Three teams in and around us, all at home and would mean 4 home wins on the bounce. That would be huge in terms of confidence and the atmosphere.

I'll take a draw against Newcastle followed by us scoring 5 penalties to their four. City I'll take the point...

That should leave us 6th or 7th with 9 games to go and in the quarter finals of the cup. A pretty decent position to be in. I'm going to be dreaming at least up to the final whistle against Bournemouth.
The thinking man’s answer, although we didn’t need the pens

What do we want/expect from the next five then? How many W/D/L?
