He has come to the club with quite a good reputation and has done average since been here, im still mad with him regard to his error vs Rochdale and to me seems to make a few errors in each game with regard to concentration.
I never said to drop him as be silly to do this after 3 clean sheets but i just said i would prefer Brez in goal and i have more confidence in, not that much is wrong with Anker.
Still no Kuipers though

I'm pretty confident now. Those two performances have shown we can go away and perform.
The game against MK Dons reminded me of a 3-0 win over Cheltenham in September 2000. We were so dominant that day, and played such simple, easy football that I knew at that point we would be promoted.
I feel the same now. The squad is big, Poyet can rotate players and by the sound of it Plymouth were the tired side last night despite two home games. Most importantly there's no worrying about the odd suspension or injury, e.g. with a midfield to be selected from Bennett, Smith, Baz, Sparrow, Dicker, Navarro, Kishishev, Lua Lua, Battipiedi and Bridcutt.
Two first choice keepers is something to be delighted about, even though I can see the Casper v Brez argument running all season.
Sandaza will probably be key, if he can convert a few crosses in games we're not playing that well in, it will go a long way to getting us through the winter.

Without doubt these are winnable games, but I think it is way too early to assume we will just walk them. The Oldham and Bournemouth games in particular should be very challenging, both have made good starts and look likely to be up in the promotion mix come the end of the season. Brentford are a real bogey side for us both home and away, I can't recall many wins if any over them at Withdean. Ironically it looks like tranmere away would be the softest of those games.
Eight points keeps up our avergae of 2 per game. That's automatic promotion. Would be thrilled with that. But being Brighton, I expect a surprising defeat, an unexpected win and two draws, so I'm tipping 5 points. Anything more and I'd be delighted.
I suspect the most important game of the four will be Oldham. Not because of the points but because it's likely to be a decent crowd coming to see what's going right. Win this with a good performance and crowds will be up all season. Do the usual (and turn in a dud performance at home) and the part-timers will quickly drift away.

In fairness, the majority of people that have seen him have only seen him at withdean, where his error cost us at least one goal and two points v Rochdale, his performance against walsall was jittery (in fairness, it was not just him, el abd and elphick interacting with him provided their own jitters) and at that point he was still flapping at crosses.
He seemed to stop coming for crosses. I remember last season during Smith's run in goal, someone, Bensgrandad, I think, brought up how he would sometimes come for crosses, sometimes not and this confuses the defenders. I think there might be something to that, because since Ankergren has decided to stay on his line, El Abd and Elphick seem to know what they have to do and we've kept three clean sheets.
His performance against MK Dons didn't really show him to be a great keeper either, mostly because he didn't have to make a save (other than one messy collision with one of their players) and there were several moments where balls were played over the top that were his to claim, and he started to come then changed his mind causing chaos in our defence from what should have been a nothing ball.
Most people also listen to the away games and hear Aspinall's reservations about the keeper not coming for the ball, not catching etc, and that, paired with what they see at home matches, isn't helping Ankergren's cause.

Nope, haven't said that at all. I don't necessarily think we "should" be beating the likes of...etc, but I think we WILL.

Agreed. Bournemouth without Pittman are very ordinary, and I would be surprised if they finish in the top half this season. We will beat Oldham and Brentford no trouble. My only actual concern is Tranmere, just because our away record against them is utterly pitiful.
Oldham are 7th and have just 2 points fewer than Albion. So no pushover IMO.
Mind you, I still look at the table and wonder how tremendous it would have looked if we hadn't thrown away two points at home to Rochdale.
I did the same last night - and we really did throw those points away didn;t we. Then I snapped out of it. Early days - plenty of time to snatch some undeserved points to make up for it.
