Am I alone in thinking that all this...." We are homeless" and "We have no home apart from Falmer" is having a negative effect on the players.

99% of these players I would hazzard a guess will not be here when Falmer comes around ( if ever) and therefore Withdean is our Home...however much we hate it and the Fortress Withdean stuff must come back....the only way to do this is to make sure this is our HOME and to act like it.

Falmer at the best estimate is 4 f***ing years away.....we could be in the conference or the premiership by then...know one knows....

We must start believing in Withdean again because it will be a tall order next year to keep up this tremendous away record!

BTW as I said on the radio...just what the f*** has our coaches done to Alex Bertin? A great player who is playing like a non leaguer at the moment!

Im sorry but that is absolute bollocks. I do think the role he is being given restricts him in terms of creative football and being able to travel forward but to single him out and say he is playing like a non leaguer is rubbish. The way he tracks back to break up play is superb and he very rarely gives the ball away often under intense pressure, he is a quality player and was my MOM today. But yea as I said the diamond rubbish we are persisting with restricts not only him but a lot of other players imo.

Yes agree, we need to get off to a solid start at home next year so we dont repeat this year.

as for your 2nd question , i think the answer to that like many things with the coaching staff.......Is a mystery

But that only works if he has defending to do though....he is a spoiler type of player and if you ae correct that its our formation that restricts his play, how do you explain that in the second half, he hardly hit one pass to our players....I can recall examples of two hit and hope to the full backs and one punt up front to no-one......before he wasnt doing that...

I personally dont think bertins performance has dropped hardly at all but its understandable when everyone else is so lethargic that there will be less options for him etc I doubt we will keep Bertin in the summer but he is one of the best midfielders Ive seen in the last few seasons.

a big part of it, I beleive is down to confidence. It is a very young team and when we are down it is much more difficult for the players to lift themselves.

Through time this should hopefully improve, but if we are going to get anywhere next season we can not afford for the same constant lapse within the squad

we don't yet have a good enough team to challenge for promotion next year, even if a substantial transfer pot is available, Whilst I recognise we have a young team, its not good enoughh yet to progress - unless we pkan on lurking in this league next year....

Sorry DTG but you must have had too many baby shams before the game to slate Bertin. He has no choice to hit and hope when the diamond formation gives him no movement. yes he misplaced a couple of passes but I bet his passing accuracy is well into the 90% region today and was the best player on the pitch by a country mile. He is a top player and should be playing at a much much higher level. He is top of the championship material at the very worst and at his best he is a Premier league player:bowdown:
