Our cup run has probably already paid for Greer and Noone

Got something to say or just want fewer pesky ads? Join us... 😊

Wasn't it £250k on Greer, £250k on Noone?

Prize money for 5th round exit is £90,000
We have had 2 lots of TV money £60,000
Gate receipts so far (based on a tenner a ticket, halved) £200,000

So, already over £300k, plus potential massive gate receipts from next round and £125k if we are the TV game

Add in extras for TV Highlights, extra merchandising, program and burger sales, and we could find a victory in the 5th round could mean this years cup run is worth close on a Million, or maybe close on a Lua Lua!

Are we sure about those "per round" prize money figures?

I had an idea that you only received one payment depending on when you get knocked out so a club winning in the first round but losing in the second gets £18K for example and if we lose in the next round we will get £90K but if we win and, say get knocked out in the quarter finals we will get £180K. I'm not at all sure that prize money accumulates round by round (but obviously I would be delighted if I was wrong).

Our tv money so far would appear to be £69750 for replays plus 4 x £6750 (£27K) making just short of £100K all in all

Nope, you get individual payments for each round, having been involved in a Sussex County League club that got through four rounds one season, we made a tidy little sum at that echelon of the pyramid.

I am certain it is a cheque to the winner at each round.

great stuff!

Nice little earner then. £200K prize money plus £100K tv to date. With our share of the gate (40%?) that means we are nearing £500K to the good with the fifth round to come
