It was the same at the game. That last half hour (especially those 5 minutes of injury time) seemed the longest for ages. I think the longer it went on, the more potentially damaging an equaliser could be to morale and our survival hopes. The moment the final whistle went was the best moment for a long time including Man City due to its comparative importance and long term consequences.

A fantastic night . i have to mention the rovers fans in the pub and their club house. They were very friendly and wished us well. I felt it to be a very special night because we were all being decent football fans ( AND WE WON....!!!!! )

If anyone needed confirmation that our fans are the best in the world, they should have been at the Memorial Ground last night. Outstanding.

On behalf of all at the club (manager, players, directors and staff), well done to all those fans who were at Bristol Rovers last night (not to mention those there in spirit). A superb effort. Indeed well done to the fans this season, home and away. Ten out of ten.

I just got a text from the Stadium Manager at Brizzle [who I know through work].

"Well impressed with your lot. Great noise and good following for a team in the bottom 4!"

I think there was more than 700 there last night. Cash on turnstiles and no tickets given might explain !! :lolol:

We arrived about 10 minutes after kick-off due to a nightmare journey and the turnstiles were shut, so we had to pay a steward to get in. Standing at the back of the terrace there were quite a few more who came in after us...highly likely our money went straight in the pocket and we were not counted in the official attendance.

That would be Mr Holtby I assume, looking forward to meeting him next week at the Varsity Rugby Match, least he won't hit me!

I make one game this year...and I think I might have chosen the best, I have never ever seen such a bond between fans and players..though guys we could get boring about being there and in time the 700 will become 7,000 by the people who claimed to have been there!
