Yep. Clearly club aren't rushing in here. Presumably if Niasse was their only priority then it would all have been wrapped up by now. Other irons in the fire and also Hemed deal sounds like its part of the mix.

Makes me wonder where Joel Campbell is placed on our list. It's no secret that Arsenal want to loan him out, slightly complicated by fact he now wants a permanent move away.

Presumably for the same reasons that we play these fixtures at Crawley Town FC ! - Maybe preserving the Amex pitch whilst giving some revenue to another local club ?

They sold Rooney for millions at 18 year old before he ever proved himself. They got millions for Francis Jeffers who was ****ing rubbish. Just look at their history . Premier League 2 is a new competition that replaced the Under-21 Premier League from 2016/17, with a greater focus on technicality, physicality and intensity to bring players as close to first-team experience as possible.

The age limit for players has risen from Under-21 to Under-23.

The league will take on the same format of two tiers, Division 1 and Division 2, with 12 teams in each, and the factor of promotion and relegation.

The 24 clubs who compete each applied for 'Category One' status in the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP). There are 15 clubs from the Premier League and nine clubs from the Championship.

I guess a loan makes sense in case we go down, however if we did then we could cash in so ultimately why no just buy him as prices are only increasing.

I have not seen a lot of him, but 7 million these days is pennies ... as we stand I would take him and a loan striker happily..

Depends on who the loanee is, but I agree that Niasse would probably be a welcome addition.

Everton fans have almost to a man thought of him as a shite player, for some considerable time. The usual quips that they'd pay for his taxi.

Other than the risk that he flops for us too, there's another that he'd be on our books in the Championship on big wages, with few takers after flopping again. I would assume that the Board weigh that sceanario up very carefully.

But with just 56 hours to go, I guess beggars can't be choosers!
