Can anyone recommend a decent local Chiropractor, ideally somewhere between Shoreham and Brighton?

I have had an on going lower back pain for about a year and have always struggled through it, but I think its about time I got it looked at ???

Was wondering if any fellow NSCers have had any treatment and can recommend a decent Chiropractor who is good, but not extortionate.

Also, does anyone know what exactly is the difference between a chiropractor and a Osteopath?

Cheers!

before you go to a chiropracter, go and try the Sussex Back Pain Clinic on Church Road in Hove, opposite where the old Nuffield Hospital was.

They guy I saw was matthew abbott and he is very good ( but he is an osteopath).

I use these people in Queens Road

I've had lower back trouble for over 15 years now, I only started seeing the guy there called Steve last month on leave. I'm away from home most of the time, but the little time I did see him worked quite well. I still have stiff back problems, but my lower back feels stronger already and I'm going to see him each time I go home. I only had six sessions and even that has helped it a bit.

My problem was no real pain for about 3 months, then sneezing in the shower, or tying my laces could set off a spasm that was so bad I had to piss in a bottle in bed and took immodium for two days as I couldn't even sit myself on the crapper for a good old shite.

Next year I'll be home for good, and he reckons he'll have me sorted out properly then. Each session costs about £33, but if your pain was as annoying, and sometimes debilitating, as mine is, then it should be money well spent.

Cheers, I'll have a look at the site and give them a call. How much did he charge out of interest?

EDIT: Sorry, ignore, just seen the fees page :dunce:

Blimey, don't think my compares to yours, but it comes and goes and occasionally I can't bend over to do my shoes up or stand up without being in loads of pain. But because it keeps coming and going I think i'd rather try and get it sorted now.

Cheers for the advice.

I really cannot suggest Manos Clinic enough. it is superb, and they get it sorted very quickly, whatever the problem is.

It's in Brighton, and Paul is the best one their. Do it!

I used the Shoreham chiropractic clinic in Ham road last year. I could barely move until they treated it and was fine after a few visits.

Can't remember how much it was but was def worth it. I also joined HSA on theoi advice. That cost about £30 a month but existing conditions are covered, so I joined, claimed back the half the cost of my treatment and then cancelled agreement.
