OT - Are you living in a computer simulation?

If more people are being born than dying, where have all the extra people come from? Chimps promoted from monkey conference to the human league? Dare we think that? These are the things that dreams are made of.

I'd imagine the simulation would have some algorithm which would create new humans based on a multitude of variables; time of year, geolocation, political climate etc. etc and that would also be reset upon your 'death'. (edit) My interpretation of the theory presupposes that the simulation is unique to you. I have my own program, you have yours. If it was a shared simulation my belief of 'reset upon death' would reset the simulation for everyone else as well.

Now my head hurts. Or does it? Best check the transaction logs.

Maybe it does not reset and you just re-spawn some point after your death?

Also possible, yep! That also accounts for the deja-vu and all that stuff too.
