I reckon we’ll give him a nice new contract and loan him out again. For comparison, he’s just over 2 years younger than Ben White, so next year will be the equivalent season for him as for White when he and BHA had the honour of his loan to The Leeds Utd.

Question about Leo.

If we were looking to integrate either him or Matt Clarke into the squad next year, who do you think it would be more likely to be?

Both. While a 3 year deal and one more loan would be ideal, I'd be quite happy to see him challenging for a first team place. If we don't sell, he would ave to be a bit patient in the first season I think. Clarke may not have had such glowing success, ad being bought and promptly loaned out without much ceremony two years in a row might not look so promising - but he has been playing in a crap team (and I think was their POTS last season?) and he would add much needed left side balance to our defence.

Looks like the Coventry fans are setting themselves up for a year of mocking, vilification, patronising and gloating.
I wonder if they will also be able to ram a year of mocking, vilification, patronising and gloating back down our throats. :lolol:

The next Ben White? - but without all the bleating #freeLeoOstigard sort of bolleaux.

No prizes for guessing who Coventry’s most valuable player is!

That's pretty impressive. Another year's loan there would be a great option, if the finances can be agreed, and Leo is tied to us after that.

You don't think we could do with half a dozen more like that from our defenders?

Yeh sure but if that’s the goal on the month they either haven’t scored many or have been shite goals.

Btw since Dunk joined the Prem no defender/Centre back has scored goals than him. He does pretty well for us. Webby, Burn and White could help out a bit more.

AN reckons he's off to Stoke (loan presumably)

I guess this means we are keeping and backing Duffy. He won’t let us down but you do wonder how patient Leo will be...

I wonder why we think a move to Stoke is better than going back to Coventry where he did very well and is hugely popular? More emphasis on ball playing?

It seems like we are leaving ourselves very short of centre backs. What has happened to van Hecke?
Naylor reported he was injured a while back. No indication of whether it was a minor injury or more serious.

More likely to be sold then since he only got one year left on his contract and said that he wants to move on if he doesnt get the chance in Brighton this season.

Injured. Probably going on loan somewhere. According to Dutch media, Heerenveen are eager to have him back but Brighton wanted to have a look in order to perhaps loan him out to a better team / league.

BDB, Webster, Dunk, Veltman Duffy & Roberts would probably be fine but if the two mentioned above leaves and Roberts or Duffy also moves, a new CB is likely to arrive - if the intention is to play three at the back for the majority of the season.

Argus are saying he is at Stoke's training ground this morning but is expected to sign a new deal with us before he heads off on loan. Ben White signed a new contract on the day he made the loan move to Leeds a couple of seasons back.

Which will mean that we are bringing in a central defender or that Duffy stays in the squad.... or both.
