can't help but think there are big problems in the dressing room. Players do not look up for it, very rarely look across at dug out for inspiration. Also what must be a bugger for the forward / attacking players to see Lingard playing every game for no return.....is it in his loan deal that he has to start every game ?
Oscar has to take a long hard look at himself and his tactical nowse . I have not seen any evidence of the attacking football we were promised. Could the problem also be that he's come straight from a league , similar to Scotland, where one or two clubs run the show, and is out of his depth with the strength of the teams in the Championship ?

5 clubs in 15 years suggests its a bit more competitive than Scotland, but fair point. Oscar did take them to Maccabi's first title in 10 years though.

Not going to happen unless there's a significant change in our recruitment policy.

I suspect the club will know pretty much where it stands after FFP sanctions kick in - this will be very interesting to see how this going to work and I am not convinced the FL will conduct punitive action according to the law, the jury is out on that one. Once we know where we stand the club will do what it needs to do in the best interest of Brighton and Hove Albion FC. The last few seasons are testament to the direction the club is going and where it wants to go.

This is a fact i saw Oscar and his family having a walk in Rottingdean this lunch time, he was near the White Horse and looked a little worried he was shifting his eyes from left to right, then left to right, and again left to right.... He then crossed the road and was gone.....

Was it a white cart horse?

Can think of a few especially a Scottish one

I agree that it's likely that FFP (as designed) will fail at the first legal challenge and that, as a club/business, we had to implement prudent fiscal housekeeping irrespective of whether or not FFP is brought in. My point was that our current recruitment policy and his role as Head Coach doesn't allow him to 'bring his own players in', only those 'offered' to him by David Burke (and in which Nathan Jones appears to have an unhealthy and, with the possible exception of Stephens, unsatisfactory involvement).

Much depends on how long term the board are looking. With a new training ground in place, they may well think they could hardly have a better head coach than a man who came through and worked at La Masia.

In which case, the sort of people that boo after three defeats when we're within reach of the play-offs would find they're very much following the wrong type of club.

Should he not be able to manage and get the best out of the players available? Do they all really have to have their own players?

Yes agree re Forest but its a testament to our defence that such a low scoring team have stayed in the race this long. However I don't buy in to this view re Oscar having no pre season. He has been here long enough to alter things.

It's not testament to our defence. We are a defensive team hence we don't score many and don't let many in.

It was reported that Chris Powell was invited to the game by Jones, apparently on the same EUFA coaching course. A cynic might suggest that there could have been an ulterior motive.

It's not if as the season is falling apart, 3 defeats in a week to teams below us with not a goal scored.

I don't think you can blame Oscar for the last 3 games. The chances we have had my ten year old son could have put away. It is down to the players! Oscar has no control over missed shots from 2 yards. Missed penalties and people trying to chip keepers instead of simple shots that score goals.

This is pretty much the standard of finishing we have had to endure for our duration at The Amex. It has been far worse this season! Lopez and JFC both had great chances yesterday in the first half.If we go in at half time 2 up, its pretty much game over! You cannot blame OG for this, its not really his assembled team yet!

It doesn't work like that. Last year Barnes had a shot tipped onto the bar and over, then had one cleared off the line, but it was all the manager's fault. :jester:
