I don't think it's as simple as 'took the draw' - of course we were trying to win it, but again I assume you were there so I can't really comment. Yes Oscar may have got things wrong, particularly recently, but is that enough to want him out? Of course not. We need to be patient - frustrating of course but that's football / life!

Barnsley went down to 10 men with quarter of an hour left , so what happens ? CMS came on and was pushed out on the left wing and LuaLua moved into a midfield role. Oscar stood in the technical area with his hands in his jacket pockets as the Albion fans shouted "Attack!!! , Attack!!! , Attack!!!" We played like a side haunted by relegation worries.

I think this is exactly right.

I don't think we have a divine right to be in the top 6, however I do think I have a right to be entertained and enjoy going to the game for my almost £50 a month.

I've watched Brighton for over 30 years and I've seen some absolute shit but I don't think I've ever been as bored watching us as I am now.

I'm singing from the same hymn sheet as you.

I've been going since 1975 the vast majority of those years as a season ticket holder and probably seen over half of the away games as well, so I'm no fair weather fan. I am though really really bored with our style at present.

Poyet's game plan was boring at times and it was discussed many a time here but this season has been numbingly boring. I thought Bristol away last year was bad but that's been surpassed on a number of occasions this season.

You should go to a game full of pre match nerves, anticipation and wanting your team to perform, alas to me there's been a resignation among many that it's going to be just the same as the previous game, dull! We approach every game, home or away the same, never go for it from the off and resign ourselves to a quick flurry of attacks in the last 20 or so minutes when Lua Lua in thrown on. It's so predictable. As predictable as Oscar's post match interview.

I am going to renew the three st's I have for next season in the belief and knowledge that, health willing, I will out see this period, for players and managers alike are transient, but my love for the club goes beyond it...............just.

"I look at the performance of my players and I feel they did what I asked of them. I cannot criticise them and say that they could have played better. They have given everything and I am proud of them.

That OG quote is exactly what I mean. Whilst he has to be slightly guarded in what he says there is no need to be that emphatic in saying the players did what you want if they didn't.

And if that is what he wants his players to be doing I don't know what time or a summer budget (which may or may not be there) will do..

He obviously has a very low ceiling of expectation!

First class post. Completely agree with you! I can remember the Mike Bailey days when we were labelled as boring but this is worse! Garcia needs to shape up or ship out!

I went today, and was so bored. Yes bored. Found myself yawning and tutting throughout the whole game. Been following the Albion for 30 years, this is some of the most uninspiring drivel I have ever seen.

Not once today did it look like we were capable of having a shot, we created nothing, we constantly passed it sideways with no one interested in moving forward or showing they actually wanted the ball, and with the exception of Calderon and CMS when he came on, no one really gave a shit or got out of first gear.

This stinks of lack of confidence and motivation and I am afraid that is down to leadership, both on the pitch and off.

Do I want Oscar sacked? No

Do I want to see some some half decent football. FFS yes!

I am all for giving time but am starting to get very depressed every Saturday, I love the Albion but hearing fans shouting some of the stuff today I can understand it, the frustration factor is unbelievable.

A number of our players do not seem to want to play for the club IMO, we need some new faces.

You can feel the discontent in the crowd now, and it will end badly for Oscar if he can't get the fans back on side.

I hope he turns it round.

When we played some boring stuff under Dean Wilkins it was needs must and at least it was our local lads in the team and anything extra was a bonus, now we're playing a tedious style but with players costing millions out there. I wonder how many people renewing seasons wish they hadn't bothered now ?

I know you can play the fool but here you speak wisely.

When did football fans become so inpatient? First season for the manager, injuries, sales, lack of squad strengthening and we are still within a fighting chance of the play off's.

I assume you didn't go today? I have just got back after leaving Hove at 7.30am this morning and driving about 500 miles...If you think this side is anywhere near fighting for the play off's you are seriously deluded.. The players couldn't give a stuff today, they have no direction and can't even do simple things like take a throw in.. (the foul throw 5 mins from the end was just pathetic). They continually look at the bench to decide what to do at free kicks..

Garcia's tactics are just the absolute pits.. Keep the ball in harmless areas then come out and see we were the better side. whilst Barnsley didn't create a lot, we were just absolutely pathetic... AGAIN. in the last 5 games we have scored in one of them, not good enough, Ulloa is totally isolated up front on his own, Lua lua comes on and plays central midfield.. WTF is that about.

Thanks for completly wasting my day out Garcia, with your totally negative tactics. People who didn't go can continue with the excuses defending this muppet in charge, however he simply has to go. The team are so clueless its laughable.

Whether we like it or not with the vast amounts of money spent by one man and the expectations of many, new or old now abundantly clear this may need to be resolved sooner than later.

I don't like to see people sacked but there's so much at stake here. We're looking to reduce the debt etc etc but the way we are preforming will only lead to one thing and that is in a huge reduction in revenue maybe not next season but certainly after that unless the game plan changes.

Personally, I'd rather judge Oscar after next season when he has been able to properly take stock of his player requirements, the pace and style of the Championship, and has been allowed to stamp his coaching/tactical mark throughout his team. I hope TB doesn't listen to the naive, impatient quotient of our fan base.

After next season? Content with another 15 months of this shit? If we are outside the the top 8 by Xmas then Oscar can go, maybe outside top 6.

Now then, be careful what you post, although you are obviously quite correct in all you say the Garcia happy clappers (especially the Turkish contingent) will give you a big thumbs down!

Just home (lucky enough only to travel from London). Yes it was a pretty poor performance, yes the fans weren't best pleased, yes yes yes.

Does anyone know what difference the fans make to the onfield performance? We, as fans, we're bloody terrible today. We sang a bit, we chanted a bit, we stayed very, very quiet for a very long time. I tried, less than some and more than others, but the passion just wasn't there across the board. When the team created something a bit of enthusiasm and voice appeared. When we didn't, it was just isolated voices, and short-lived efforts.

If the performance on the field can be changed by the fans then we need to look at ourselves. Even if it can't, we still need to look inward a bit too.

I'm not blaming anyone and I too was shouting expletives every, single, bloody, repeated, incessant, and consistent time we gave the ball away, or wellied it 20-30 yards back towards our own goal but, still... maybe it's just that as the season draws near the frustration is spilling over as the dream of the play-offs disappears.

Sorry - it was a long drive (by my 'never get far outside the M25' standards) and I'm tired and disappointed. Sure, we might still have a shot, but it's not in our hands anymore and when you rely on others, they usually let you down. :tantrum:

I thought the fans at time made some decent noise but our chants today ended at the first attempt. Mackail-Smith got a fantastic reception although the two loudest chants today were "we want CMS, say we want CMS" and "attack, attack, attack attack attack". The fans are shouting at the team and bench for what we want, it seems those on the bench don't really have a clue.

Hopefully I am not the only one to notice the irony of people on here accusing the fans who perhaps reacted with frustration but were actually AT the game of being fair weather fans at a time when those 400 or 500 supporters are busy negotiating the journey home having travelled all the way to Barnsley to support the team...

I wasn't at the game, but listened to it on the radio. Your comment doesn't tally with the commentary, which identified the problem was with the players giving the ball away. We finished with Ulloa, CMS, March and KLL on the pitch. I'm not quite sure how that constitutes the manager conveying to the players to sit back.

put as many attacking players on the pitch as you like, it would make no difference at all. I WAS there and I can tell you for a fact it was an absolute SHAM... Greer smashing 60 yard balls 20 yards over the top of any of our players heads, Ulloa continually whinging and moaning at the ref or anyone else who wants to listen, Playing Lua Lua in central midfield.. enough is enough of this clueless muppet. I am not particularly bothered if we win and lose, I just occasionaly would like to see something remotly entertaining. I have seen enough crap in my time supporting this team, however the football at the moment is just totally dull and boring.. No pace, no passion, no desire to get forward, lets just tippy tappy it around at the back continually then complain we were the better side as we had the ball the whole game.. Get this mug out now, he is a joke.(oh yeah, and for all you morons who panned me when I put up the "are these 1-0 wins covering up the cracks" thread this season... - I think that on reflection I was totally correct.. there aren't any cracks left, these are full on gapping gaps now..

Quite right, by the sounds of it the team and management totally let down the Barnsley 500

About where I am, we are played today and have been playing uninspiring and very bland football today. FFS we had an attacking option and before you knew it we conceded a corner.
