Hollywood actor Orlando will be at the Withdean Stadium the first home league clash of the new campaign.

Dick Knight stepped down as Brighton and Hove Albion chairman to make way for multi-millionaire property developer Tony Bloom. The move ends Mr Knight's 12-year reign at the helm of the Seagulls and sees him become instead the club's life president.

In a slight twist to the whirlwind tale, New Albion chairman, Tony Bloom exclusively revealed to the Argus that Hollywood heart throb, Orlando, is his second cousin, and in a deal to tie up and secure The Falmer Stadium for Brighton and Hove Albion, Tony and Orlando went into partnership. The Argus can reveal that the Bloom's are to fund the vast majority of the Falmer Stadium development - the cost of which has now spiralled to £93 million - through interest-free loans.

Newly elected Seagulls Chairman Tony Bloom revealed that they had met only twice before. “We met when I was on holiday in the Caribbean, and he was filming Curse of the Black Pearl”

Tony made his money through sports betting and investing in business and properties, whilst Orlando nets around US$8 million per blockbuster film made. The Bloom family saw this venture as the perfect opportunity to expand the Bloom empire into a global brand to rival that of The Apprentice star, Sir Alan Sugar.

The dpearting Knight said “The club is now financially secure, the stadium is on its way and the club now has the opportunity to reach its true potential. We have come a long way from what Bob Pinnock, Martin Perry and I inherited twelve years ago and I am proud of what we, the directors, staff, players and fans, have all achieved together.”

The arrival of the Bloom’s millions has saved the club's Falmer Stadium dream, Albion chief executive Martin Perry said.
"Without the entrepreneur's interest-free long-term loans, the new stadium could not have been built."

It is hoped that Gully's Girls will be wowing the Withdean crowd with a Pirates of the Caribbean themed dance routine before the kick off of the first home game of the season. Orlando is speculated to be choreographing a new set as we speak.

Kent born, Orlando, speaking on location of his latest Hollywood blockbuster, New York, I Love You, said "I was playing poker online with cousin Tony, when he came up with the idea. I loved it, so I Facebooked him and we met up at the New York Red Bulls Soccer Game, when Tony was thinking of rostering their midfielder Juan Pietravallo. I was born in England, so I love my football. Being from Kent, i am a Manchester United fan, but I will be putting on an Oscar winning performance for the Seagulls faithful"

Tony said "it is a fine tradition at the club that we can entice celebrities to comes and watch, it was a legacy left by Dick Knight, which I have to keep alive. We managed to get Norman Cook to come on the board, as well as have visits from Gail Porter and Samuel L Jackson in the past."
