That orange ball was horrible, must have been why we were so crap on saturday.
Isn`t the yellow ball only for the Premier League?

Yup, the premier league use nike balls (yellow during daylight savings time).
The FA cup uses umbro balls.
The carling cup uses the same mitre balls as the football league.

Only a few years back different teams used to use different ball manufacturers of their choice, as long as the ball met the fifa standard - I'm sure it was less than 10 years ago.

I hated it when they used those yellow balls all winter. The white ones are so much easier to see; why on earth is it any different in winter to summer?!

It's bloody AWFUL.

Watching the Sheffield Weds game on the telly was hurting my eyes, trying to locate where the ball was! It doesn't show up well on telly at all.

I thought the same thing - it looked like they were using an old brown leather ball.

Those were the days. White ball all year then fluorescent orange in snow. Using the adidas Tango as the Albion did, the snow ball was christened the Tangorine

I think all FA cups games had them.

Has there been an unlikely U-turn?
Whilst there was a white ball at Woking last night, I haven't seen any other TV highlights. Has that crap orange ball ben kicked into touch>

They were all training with them but switched to White for the game. Perhaps the Tv cameras had problems picking up the orange ball? I know I certainly did!

So is it a case that TV rules and get's what it wants but the paying punter is ignored?

be interesting to see what happens next round. Looks like another case of the FA knowing f all.
