If we can find a genuine attacking midfielder, who can give decent service to Forster and Murray. Then we've have a outside chance of the play-offs. Because I don't think we'll get 9 points out of our three games in hand.

Dont u think thomson can provide decent service

If we win all of our games in hand then we are right back up there, and in with a shout :)

We need maximum points on the board from our busy home schedule through Feb/Early March.

And remember we are still unbeaten at home in the league this year...

2 wins, 1 draw and on yesterdays display, I would say there are more home wins to come!

Why not?

Mid-week game on our turf, they wont have much support.

They are there for the taking!

You can't just go on league placings, and form the whole time.

Football is a funny old game.

Take Gillingham beating Forest a few weeks back as an example.

I think there is a chance, but ultimately we'll fall short. I do believe we're most of the way to putting a squad together that could be f***ing GOOD next season though. A winger and partner for Thomson in the middle are required, and if we got them I'd fancy us to be top 6 AT LEAST next year.

defo good call we will be quality next season

i remember the same being said last season though and it never happened, i think its about time we started spending and stop making excuses on why we are missing out on these players

I agree with the second part of your argument. As to this season I think we need to be thinking more of getting past about 52 points to avoid playing Aldershot next season.

And my opinion is that we still need a proper management team to replace our lacklustre non runners.

Cant realy judge on the performance against a pretty awful Crewe side.

Probably around 10th would be a very good finish, more likely 12-16th.

If we get rid of the dead wood in the summer and keep the best players then next season I would fancy our chances of Top 10 finish.

Will know more over the next half dozen games.

Crewe were rubbish, played one up top and had five players out. Can't realistically make any conclusions based on beating them.
