I know it's hard to believe but an England centre back might have the odd snafu tonight.

(oh Michael I wasn't looking at you.
Why would you even think that?
Come on we're all right behind you.)

(pssssst - It's going to be Michael, isn't it?)

Anyhoo Shirley with nothing else to do we might as well take the opportunity to back our boy, show him yet more love, while also attempting to get him into the centre back conversation all thanks to our new Spurs friends play on words.

#'VirgilvanDunk would have blocked that.
#VirgilvanDunk would have headed that clear.

Likewise the hashtag #LewisDyke was trending last night when that NI goal went in

Why do we want him playing for England? Chance of injury. Less rested after international breaks. More likely to be snapped up by a top six club. There's not one good reason I can come up with.

I'll suggest he wants to play for England and we should support him in that.

Indeed, as I’ve said before, from a selfish BHA fan point of view view it’s best he doesn’t.

The only reason in which it benefits us as a club is:

1. It reduces the chance of him agitating for a move, should he feel that being a Brighton player is hindering his international ambitions.

2. It will boost his transfer value, if we do decide to / agree to sell.

That's two reasons. :moo:

3. Raises profile of the club so we could attract better players

4. Sense of pride, he's one of our own etc

It's a shame I can't predict the Euromillions numbers as accurately.

This is an awful defensive display
Certainly not what we're used too.

This sort of performance might be well received at places like Old Trafford but we expect better from our centre backs.

I reckon England should go with 3 centre backs.
Webster, Dunk, Burn.

Seriously though why not?
If the Albion had consistently defended as badly as England we'd have been relegated very quickly.
