Derek Robinson has written some novels based on the life of this chap https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juan_Pujol_García - been a while since I read them but remember them being entertaining and, if I'm remembering right, quite funny at the time. The Eldorado Network is the first in a trilogy about him.

There was a west end play called "Pressure" about the weather and D-Day landings on last Summer. The finest play I've ever seen.

It was the unlimited cardholders preview at cineworld this evening. I went to see it.

I did not think it was as good as the musical. But it was fine for what it was, probably about what you would expect for a british WWII-era spy movie with such a cast.

Might have already been mentioned but I believe operation mincemeat was one of Ian Fleming’s many, many hair brained schemes that he submitted when he worked in intelligence. This was one of the few that was used.

I read the book by Ben Macintyre a few years ago & found it a fascinating story. Looking forward to getting along to the Depot when the film comes out.

He is a significant character in the film (that's him on the right in the still picture of the video). (Less so in the musical, but still features in an early song with lots of Bond references).
