With only three days to go until the transfer window closes does anyone thing there will be further activity involving the Albion?

Will we have any more player arrivals ?

Will Hammond or any other players depart our beloved club?:albion2:

Who would we like in though because the winger from Watford we were looking at has gone to Swindon and I don't thing the Currie deal will ever happen

I haven't got a clue. But we pay Wilkins and White each week to know about football, so hopefully between them they know of a few more wingers than I do! I'm not convinced Currie is the sort of winger we need anyway. I think what we lack is a pacy player who runs at defenders. The sort of player I would look for is a Paul Brooker. Obviously not HIM, but someone who is the same type of player, ie a bit of a tart but capable of beating his man and causing a bit of panic in the opposition defence.

I think Currie is EXACTLY the sort of player we need. Someone with a more reliable final product, someone who you know will definitely create an opportunity in a game, not just look threatening when he runs at players. Unfortunately it seems that boat sailed when Luton were drawn against Liverpool.

If Hammond doesn't want to sign a new contract then we need to sell him, and fast. There is no point in him hanging around, and us losing out on quite a bit of money.

Spend the money on a winger, which we really DO need at the moment! Some competition for Cox is vital, maybe it will fire him up to play better?

We can't sell him if HE WON'T SIGN for another club yet. It's HIS choice now, not ours. Please, please understand this quite important fact when saying that the club MUST sell him.

Sorry, I was just saying that we must do everything we can to get rid of him!

If there are clubs that want him, and he wants to go I just wish he'd hurry up and let Brighton get on with this season.

Don't get me wrong, I really like Deano but now is the time to exit stage left and also for the club to help things along if possible.

What if he doesn't get sold... and we do very well in the 2nd half of the season... perhaps even a play off place... would be still go? Who knows?

even if we did go up, and an offer came in from a bigger championship club at the end of the season, i think he would leave in order to progress his career. we really cannot take a risk on losing him on a free

True. If I was him I'd see out the rest of the season. So what we need is a very rich, very stupid club who are prepared to make Hammond the classic 'offer he can't refuse' - and give us a whopping great fee, well over his value (say £300k) into the bargain. Why should they do it now rather than wait until the summer? Well because if they wait he might not be available, so if they want this future England international they must act NOW.

The problem is we'll need a VERY stupid club to fall for that, so where can we find one?

Hmmmm ...

*snaps fingers* Of course! Newcastle! C'mon Kev, £325,000 and we'll chuck in Joe Gatting.

Also, another factor I have against Currie is age. I know he's never been quick etc etc, but he is 34. In all likelihood, we won't go up this season, so we're building a team for next season. Do we really want 35 year old wingers as part of a promotion push?

How old's Beckham?? I'd have him in the team!!!!!!!
