I rarely see £50s at all. Was behind someone in Sainsburys last week who paid with 2 of them, and I thought he was trying to pay with Euros they looked so odd. Not sure I've ever had one in my wallet.

Euro notes go up to 500, no establishment wants to take them though.

I had loads of them a short time ago. :thumbsup:

Sold a motorbike on EBay for a few thousand and the guy paid in all brand new £50's.
Would'nt know a good one from a hooky one but my boy works part time in retail so knew what to look for, also they we all sealed up in a bank bag with concecutive numbers. So all was good.

The new £50 notes don't look right , the security strip makes you think the whole note has been photocopied until you check the other security features and do the magic pen test.

Allegedly know as a "Bin Laden" in Spain at one time according to Wiki ".......as the presence and appearance of the notes are well known, but the notes themselves are very difficult to find"
