Sarfend, what you forget is from Reading to Plymouth there is a direct train and even by car it is sort of directish. From Brighton, Plymouth is frankly a pain in the arse to get out. I am going, but it the train journey is long and there are at least a couple of changes involved.

Also a lot of us have been there a number of times (I think this will be my 7th visit) and so it is one people are likely to miss out on.

If you have a railcard you can go to Exeter reasonably cheaply (on the Clapham Service) and then buy the extension from Exeter to Plymouth. As ever the train companies cannot give me the correct ticket price, so I will come back to you.

Are you sure. Have had hassle at both over the years, but found Stoke far more iffy than Plymouth.

I think I may have to give this one a miss, knew I shouldn't have bought Kasabian and Ordinary Boys tickets, but still if I want a season ticket next season I'll have to make some sacrifices.
