How about arranging a proper live game sometime? could do it somewhere like the King & Queen, as they have great big round tables suitable for poker, anyone be up for it?

Bit far for me personally but its much more fun when you can look em in the eye:wink:

For those of us who don't want to participate in every single Poker tournament to get a decent spot in the League, is there going to be a minimum % of games we have to play to qualify for any potential prize money etc etc?

I don't particularly want to play in every single game just so I can keep up with the keener players!

I'm not sure I agree with the scoring system, particularly how the points vary based on the number of players.

yeah it needs some work but you'll have to give more points to the players if theres more players in the game cos it will harder to get a higher positon what do you have in mind bozza.

With regards to the points system, surely the fairest option would give last place 1 point, and the player above that 2 points, all the way to first who will get points equal to the number of players there are in the game.

For example:

7 Players:

1st - 7 points
2nd - 6 points
...
7th - 1 point

13 Players:

1st Place - 13 points
2nd Place 12 points
13th Place - 1 Point.

So the more players there are, the more points you get for doing well.

i was going to do it like that but if theres only a certain amount of points people should play better and you do get more points if more poeple play 1to9 players theres 6 points, 10to19 players 8pts , 20+ 12pts plus theres a bigger reward for winning. but its only testing

I think the money in the pot is reward enough to push and go for the win. At least with the points system I have suggested you know it's consistent.

Only made the trial game so far unfortunately, but plan to become more regular when possible. Like the idea of the points league but for people that can't make every game it puts them at a disadvantage.
Just an idea, but rather than a points league, how about doing a monthly tournament?
Maybe something like the following:

Every Friday have a $5 tournament
Top 4 qualify
The last Saturday/Sunday of the month, all qualifiers play a £10 game to decide the winner.

Most people will be able to make at least 1 Friday game (if not maybe do a Friday and Sunday?). Only reason I've suggested making a $10 final is that the winnings from qualifying (well 1st to 3rd anyway) will cover that.

Just an idea in the hat if a proper league system can't be agreed.

I think that might be a bit too much guys. The main objective is to have a laugh and play a bit of poker, if we can add on a league table as a bit of fun then all the better.

I rekon Djmiles' is the best one so far, there's never going to be that much of a variation in the number of people playing anyway. I rekon 6 minimum and 20 tops

I'm playing to have a laugh. Don't care about any points system.
If I win the tournaments I can play in, I make a small profit, sweet.
I don't need to be in some competitive league to win more, or qualify for another tournament, etc.
