Well, I'm not much of a cook but that's one of the few things I can manage so I usually do a batch once a month.

Having been away from the Uk now for three months I can honestly say Harveys.

The beer here in Dallas is ok - interesting and different.

But just a pint of the old nectar would make me so happy.

There are 2 items that I virtually crave but I restrict myself to no more than 1 every 1 or 2 weeks: -
A party bag of Jacked nacho flavour doritos, cost 20 rands (around 1 pound).
A bottle of Pinotage wine, the cheap stuff is very drinkable at around 40 rands a bottle (2 quid).

Sitting in the garden in the sun and munching on the doritos or drinking the wine is a real pleasure.Never the two together though, as each destroys the other.

Decent tea and coffee - particularly tea. For Coffee we would always use Lavazza, and would not want to economise by using something cheaper.

Normally use tea-bags, although in a teapot rather than straight in the mug. BUT we both like nice tea, so when we have time will treat ourselves to more expensive tea from a specialist tea shop in Winchester called Char. We discovered it through a small family run group of tea-shops in Southampton called Mettricks.

And tea shops does not mean somewhere you could go for an "afternoon tea", but more a tea equivalent of Costa or Starbucks.

They (Char) do have a website and do mail order.
