Before the game, and certainly when they went down to 10 - 2 points dropped. Given our performance and the fact we went behind and didn't look like scoring - 1 point gained despite the final flurry.

When they went a man down, it's 2 dropped for me.

Another cracking point, we continue to show the rest of the league how to play.

A bit misleading, two ways of seeing it.

I voted 1 point gained..

a) Should we have beaten a side that had one point only all season and then had a player sent off, yes, then 2 points dropped.
b) Were we camped in their half all game playing wonderful football and missing a hatfull of chances and they were desperately hanging on, no, we were lucky based on our form throughout the game to get an 86th minute equalizer, so 1 point gained.

I voted point gained because I’d forecast a 2-1 loss.

And as most managers seem to say “all points won in this league are hard fought for.”

I also think we’ll stay up, but it’s a struggle for sure.

Strangely, I also miss the Goldstone Ground.

Maybe I do need the men in white coats as someone suggested above!

4 points dropped-
2 for missing the win,
1 for the loss of the players confidence,
1 for the disappearing confidence of the fans.

I voted 2 points list, BUT I fully expected us to lose.
It had shock away win written all over it - United already now having the record for the poorest start to a season,
Then after the sending off I was seeing the headline: “Plucky ten man Sheffield......”

There would be a backs to the wall Dunkirk Spirit.
And how often do the remaining ten men pull together all the more so.....

So yes, we should have won, and had the chances to. but it’s a funny old game, football.

From one perspective, bearing in mind we are a team that can’t score goals anymore, getting a miracle goal and a subsequent point is a point gained. However, for a team that has aspirations to play in the Premier League next season, it’s certainly two dropped.

Ok we weren't brilliant but definitely 2 points lost, we were a lot better than them. I know that's not hard but we were. A simple header on target and its two points more.

Point gained against 10 men of a side that many forget have already forced a draw against Fulham this season. Fantastic Potterballing at its best. :albion2:

Well maybe that's all we should be aiming for with the playing budget that we have, but none the less, surely we should be burying a ten man Sheffield United side with only one point so far this season?

Two points dropped most definately.

I’m not buying this excuse. We had a quiet window for incoming signings this summer but still acquired three players with a wealth of international and Champions League experience. All previous windows, summers especially, have seen massive amounts spent, it’s just been spent poorly on too many inadequate players.
