I was auditing at a clients, slipped our mid morning, with someone covering for me. Slipped back, no one ever knew I had left!

Surreal atmosphere.

Seem to remember it being very generous to York City as they needed to win to stay up and relegate Carlisle(?). On the Saturday it was a cauldren of an atmosphere and could have been tough for York, on Thursday morning at 11am there was a very different atmosphere.

I recall the Carlisle chairman made the journey to make sure all was done properly? Don't think he was very happy about it being played in that way.

I took the morning off from work to go. It was a very strange, almost surreal experience.

Most ghostly Albion match I can remember. I remember finding a prime seat to sit in at the West Stand and enjoying the panoramic views.

I seem to remember that those who came were very quiet. It was more like a cricket match.
