Really decent performance from the Albion tonight. Wednesday probably shaded the first half, causing us particular problems down the left where they repeatedly found a lot of space.

We were patient - shades of the Poyet era - waiting for opportunities.

As was the case on Saturday, we came out after the break with more intent and had by far the better of the second half.

Not sure we forced any saves at all, primarily due to Wednesday defenders blocking our shots when we were well placed - it just never really broke for us.

Encouraging stuff though.

Two difficult games out of the way. Milton Keynes looks like an opportunity to kick on again before (yet) another international break.

I hope my birthday isn't ruined with a loss on Saturday!

No grumbles about result. Tidy in midfield, solid at back but showed as much penetration as when faced by Anne Widdicombe in stockings and suspenders after downing ten pints.

Not worried about dropping to 3rd as we have just played 2 teams in the top 6 away and come away unbeaten.
However we must follow that up with 3 points at home on Saturday to back up the hard earnt points.

A decent result against an in-form side who thrashed a stronger than expected Arsenal side a week ago. Gives us a nice platform for Saturday.
