It's come up quite often on NSC, but there's a few of us for whom throwing away food is the ultimate sin. (An early lifetime of 'you can't waste that, there's people in the world would be glad of that' etc) If you're not from a certain generation, you probably don't understand, I apologise.
So each morning, if myself and Mrs Wz don't 'have plans' or she hasn't informed me of such plans , I look in the fridge to see what is 'on the turn' and come up with a meal.
So, this morning there's a big box of portobello mushrooms, looking a bit sweaty and half a tub of sour cream, probably getting sourer by the day. A couple of chicken thighs out the freezer, add some onion and fresh Sage, stick sourcream mash on the top and it was delicious.
Recipes with at least two things 'on the turn' please ?
