with robbie box. isnt there a brighton connection with that muppet, and his mate in the bookies who was grandad out of bread, and the bird who is now in eastenders.

he reminded me of the fella who used to do the race hill market who killed that bloke (apparently) on the noel edmonds show.

Well, that's me completely confused. You been on the ale?

no you know the one. curly haired jack the lad who got into scrapes with betting with grandad from bread with his lurcher. and you DO know the fella who used to sell the magic tricks up the race hill market who had that unfortunate incident on telly....

I remember the magic tricks up the market (it was a bit like the joke shop bloke from the League of Gentleman) and vaguely remember the bloke that sold them. I don't remember him killing Noel Edmonds on the telly.

I make you right and he did Haywards Heath market too. I used to buy stink bombs and fart spray from him, and snap-its to throw at old people feet in subways. What a little tinker I was, but I never stabbed no one.

As for the Brighton connection. According to good old Wikipedia, he was born here.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ray_Brooks_(Actor)

1. Big Break was done by those two guys from Esther Rantzen
2. It was a seventies show
3. It made Sheena Easton a superstar (and I soooooooooooooooo wanted to get into her pants)
4. I am very sad

My baby takes the morning train, he works from 9 to 5 and then......

Edit... I am even sadder because the porogramme I am talking about was called 'The Big Time' :thud:

Used to see Ray Brooks at Withdean quite a lot when he was in Eastenders. He sat behind me one time and gossiped to his friend about the demands Wendy Richards was making to stay in the show.
