Can anybody recommend an on-line bookie who offers a free £20(or some such) bet if you open an account with them? I've had a look at ladbrokes but they don't seem to be playing ball.

You'd be suprised. Most online casino's will give you a free play and anything you win you can claim. The conditions vary on these but I have collected £400 without depositing a penny on 1 occasion.

I COULD believe that from a casino, but not a bookies. I personally have never come across a bookies who would simply give you money for joining.

However some bookies give you say £20 free when you only spend £10, for example.

Quite. It's the bet that keep's your interest right to the end. If Man U come out in the right mood, you've got money in the bank by half-time. On the other hand if they come out and stroke it aimlessly around like it was a training match or an England game, then at least you know earlydoors you won't be winning that particular bet.

Best thing on a match-by-match basis is to go large on over 2.5, less large on over 3.5 and also have a speculative over 4.5. Comes in more often than you'd think, and normally about 6/1 equivalent.
