'Relatively simple dismount' by tiny wee 18 year old Chinese girl, according to commentator. This while the lass is twisting and spinning backwards and upside down and landing perfectly off a not very wide beam that most of us would struggle even to walk along at just off ground level. Tough crowd!

The Troubadour
I see after all the fuss and controversy that trans lifter, Lauren Hubbard, didn’t even progress into the clean+jerk phase of the women’s heavyweight competition after she failed to register a snatch.

You could not make it up, could you?

All jerk & no snatch

McCormack outclassed by the Cuban in the Final who should've got a knockdown in the 2nd Round.

Love watching the Finals of the Boxing as you can often see World Champions of the future.

I was privileged to be at the Finals Day in Athens 2004 and saw the likes of Golovkin (who lost!), Andre Ward, Povetkin and Amir Khan.

Agree with all of that, especially the 400m hurdles. Incredible.

I can't understand anyone who doesn't like the Olympics. Hours of astounding world class sport and just as you think you could do with a change, along comes another sport. And then there's the back stories, and the emotion and drama in winning and losing. It's just an amazing spectacle.

Absolutely echo every bit of that. I've stopped noticing the lack of spectators. The athletes have been simply compelling to watch, each discipline providing it's own drama and incredible storylines. The 400m hurdles this morning was genuine WTF! TV.

Also at one point I was yelling at the TV watching sailing FFS! This olympics has been fantastic. Loving every minute

I see the attention-seeking tosspot is at it again, this time belittling Keely H after her silver in the 800m. Beautifully, and with complete class, she’s replied pointing out he got her name wrong.

Doesn’t winning a silver also mean she will get improved funding for the next cycle? If that is correct then she has clearly won lots more opportunities. I can’t believe that it is now becoming a thing to criticise people for only being the second best in the world. So in theory she wins the British champs, European champs and commonwealth games so she is allowed to celebrate but managing to be second best on the planet is not worth celebrating. Imagine thinking that you have to be the best in the world to celebrate anything. Morgan and the cheerleaders are just morons.

Does anyone follow the rules on the sailing? To me it just looks like a load of boats going round in
circles for the most part. No attempt to explain the rules by the commentators either.

He really has a problem with women, doesn’t he?
He isn’t man enough to criticise someone like Fraser-Clarke. Not that Fraser-Clarke has done anything to be criticised.

I wonder if he chose a white woman this time as a pattern was emerging with the 3 previous targets....

Isn't she?
But what about all those young skaters? All embracing after their rounds, and when that Japanese skater fell on her 3rd run meaning she'd miss out on a medal, all her competitors ran over to her and lifted her up on their shoulders.
