LBC today, apparently these drivers are doing this for nothing. The reason why it took 4 hours was because the drivers had not been trained up properly as regards the route and where using the satnav for directions.

Got to hand it to these people, would you want to drive around London for nothing carrying top class athletes?

Your statement re May might not be all that inaccurate, but equally, all that article shows is the outside of a few portakabins. We have no idea what they're like inside.

My Wife's friend is a volunteer for one of the Olympic teams. I don't know which country, but her job is to make sure they settle in and is there for help if they need it.

you do have to wonder sometimes. exactly how do you get lost following a special f***ing "olympics" lane? and what sort of coach driver wouldnt have scoped out the route on the map before hand. its a shocking example of how some people dont care in their jobs these days.

You are so spot on Edna. The press in the country are the most depressing bunch of dullards you could ever wish to imagine. We got hoodwinked into doing an artricle with The Guardian about graduate jobs the other week. The vast majority of things we said to them was hugely positive, but the only bits they used in the final edit were soundbites they could portray as negatives. Excellent, lets try and make the graduate population of the country even more depressed shall we? I used to really believe in The Guardian as a brand but it turns out they're just the same as all the others. Fuckers.
