Think our salary cap is around £50k. Likes of Southampton have 8 first team players above that, 6 of them £65+m. We’re just not in these markets.
And we'll be always below them all the time this is the case.

Turns out doing the Premier League on the cheap might not be the best idea for a team who has any real ambitions of staying in it. Who knew?
He may look decent with Jack Grealish feeding him (superb yesterday). With Solly March, not so sure
Good job we're not doing it on the cheap I suppose

No, accounts show total salaries paid not individuals. At some point will our filed accounts show specific wages?
Rumour and hearsay I appreciate but I was under the impression we had one player on 50 grand a week, one on 60 and one 70?
And that was before the arrival of Welbeck.
2018/19
Watkins - 12 goals for Brentford in 45 appearances.
Maupay - 28 goals for Brentford in 49 appearances.
Which one would you have bought?
Yeah, picking up a couple of older players on a free rather than spending money on a younger striker now doing the business at rival clubs (Watkins or Wilson) is definitely not a sign of a club doing things on the cheap.

And yet here we are, still in the Premier League, out of the relegation places.

Na I’m not spending half my savings on a football player

Too expensive (£30m and £75k a week), and wanted to team up with Smith.
We had no chance.

But our net spend is vast compared to their's. They're probably spending on less than us.
( I did a quick Google, their net spend is around 150-200m less than us, our wage bill smaller by £15m. These could obviously be wrong and or out of date)
