This is where I - for a split second - thought we might go more NFL. Want Mitoma? Sure but he's 100 million. Whilst you might have 100 million you can't spend it as that tips you over FFP and you can't just buy them all like a fat lad in a sweet shop. Which top player do you want?

The top boys will now go abroad until such time the premier league lads change the rules so they can throw cash at it.

ManC, Arsenal for example still spend vast sums on wages, Arsenal on fees too …. £200m each of the two summers. Real Madrid for 25 years have always outgunned the world on wages for top players. I don’t see this as a sea change, I think only Bayern and Leipzig spend silly money.

If the PL cave in to the Middle East owners, something TB/PB always vote against, the PL will be awful. Petro states and equity funds will snap up all the clubs, wages and fees will go up several levels, eventually the Albion will be squeezed out.

Olise just fancied Bayern. I’d love to live in Bavaria.

Chelsea are still at it, the PL bottled the proposed law not being able to sell property to an associated company.
As Harry Kane said, his family can ski every weekend. What’s not to like?

As much as it's fun to laugh at Palace it really is shit. Got a good player? Don't worry he will have a release clause / refuse to play / get the PFA to claim he's in jail.

FFP was starting to bite and now they go abroad instead. The status quo remains.
Players moving from small/bad teams to big/good teams... This has been the case since Liverpool took the best players in Scotland in the 1880s. Beautiful? Well, no... but could be time to get used to it.

This. Let's ignore the fact it's Palace for a minute. All they've dared to do is put together four or five decent players and a new manager with an attacking philosophy and after no more than 10 games of good form the big clubs have noticed and want to rip it apart. Seems a bit unfair to me and not something to celebrate.
Totally true, yet it's still hard not to chuckle because it's Palace

FFP biting it seems
Easy to forget that Paul Barber enslaved Todd Boehly and Chelsea FC during Cucurella negotiations. They're only doing what we're telling them. Maybe we felt Olise is too good for them.

Great for a boring nob like kane and great if you enjoy potato , sausage and beer but Munich is hardly a baller location!!!

Zero models and bottles , zero glamour , hairy women , and nature.

I had olise down as more of a doobs man 😁

Firstly it is Palace so f*** em! Do you think many tears were shed in SE25 following our squad being decimated by the bigger boys over the last few years?

Secondly if not Munich it'll be some other team higher up the football food chain. That's how it always has worked and will no doubt continue to do so.

Thirdly the lad is quality and has a bright future ahead of him so should be playing at the top level which whether you like it or not is the Champions League. Bayern are pretty much a shoe in for that every season. If we get rid of Southgate England should have a good chance of winning something in the next few years.

It's a great move for him, England and it costs Palace one of their better players. What is not to like?

Not quite. I think he’s eligible for 4 nations, whilst he last played for France u21, and looks likely to chose them, I think he’s still eligible for England…….why he would choose them is a very different question.
