I've done a bit of research and found this picture of Sully from just a couple of years ago.

Wardy’s parting comment at the end of the H/T interviews included a mocking “Palarse”. Top bloke.
Christ, that was a long day.
Not until Saturday evening at the earliest. Are we not supposed to not say Palarse?
Bollocks to that!
Yep it's Sully in the team picture? He was 6 inches shorter than Andy Rollings. Another possibility is Tony Towner, who played in the first six matches before being transferred to Millwall. He was no. 7 for us in the match at Millwall, then no. 7 for them in November at the GG!yep.
Blimey, back left in the first photo looking like Mick McCarthy. These Irish all look the same
But clearly not the spellingpotatoe, potatoe, potatoe
see it's the pronunciation that matters.
Was it just me or did it appear that Maybank may have had a drink or two before their appearance?
But clearly not the spelling
Which one is Gerry Ryan? Is Maybank the one at the front with Paul Clark in the bottom photo and who is the one who looks like Mick McCarthy
Shame on me
Gerry’s mother has just passed away and her funeral was last Friday so he may not have attended. He’s had cancer and a stroke but is soldiering on.
With all this information available, you'd think somebody would be able to confirm who the twelfth man is....There was a great feature in the programme about the group
Actually I can't tell what you are trying to say, unless it's stereotypically linking the Irish with potatoes. Can't you tell I'm emphasizing the pronunciation.
I don't think he was being polite, I think he was being honest. Did he say he enjoyed it more, or just that it was more fun, because it was more business-like at Liverpool? He will of course have great memories of Liverpool, but felt it was more like work than a game.It was nice to hear Lawro saying he enjoyed his time at Brighton more than Liverpool.
Probably just being polite, but nice to hear anyway.

If he was on radio Mersey, he wouldn't have even mentioned us. But I don't think he felt the need to lie. I imagine he's prouder of his time at Liverpool.I'm sure if he was on radio Merseyside he might have said " being at Liverpool was fantastic, winning league titles and European Cups, but my heart will always be with Brighton"
No he wouldn't, he's already said or implied that it's with PNE.I'm sure if he was on radio Merseyside he might have said " being at Liverpool was fantastic, winning league titles and European Cups, but my heart will always be with Brighton"
