Ive got a badly cut out Argus scrap book in the loft that I made as a young'un in 1979.My mum used to send me copies of the Argus special additions in the post, I was looking for something else and came across these.
Happy days

Does anyone else keep these type of things?
And this thread prompted me to dig out this nicely-produced Argus publication...

Fruit flies like a bananaWow, I recognize 3 or 4 of those players. Time flies with a stopwatch.
Maybe I'm weird but I enjoyed those days far more than the Prem years (except our Europa League campaign which was otherworldly). My mum used to send me copies of the Argus special additions in the post, I was looking for something else and came across these.

What's happening to Murray's hair there? So pleased for him it all grew back!Sad in a way to see the Argus - along with the rest of the newspaper industry - fall on hard times. It really used to do the Albion proud. The Saturday pink football paper, available from your local newsagent about 90 minutes after the final whistle, was quality: full Albion match report, many non-League reports and a full round-up of the scores. Oh, and an update of their fantasy football table that ran to about three pages.

Did you go to Patcham Fawcett?During my time in Australia early to mid 80s my late Mum used to do exactly the same. Somewhere in the storage unit are ageing copies of the Argus from the cup final. She'd also send copies of the local rag with court reports of people I might know. Often I did. Closing time punch ups, disturbances at Indian & Chinese restaurants plus motoring offences of former school peers wasn't uncommon.
