............why did we run out in our banned blue smarties outfit at Cheltenham when they were in ALL red and we could have worn the stripes?

To get as much use out of it a possible before it is dropped at the end of the season would be my guess. It is on offer in the club shop, so it looks like they are trying to shift the kits.

have i missed something here ??? why is it banned ??

Think he was talking about blue smarties that are banned! Although I think they've come back now.

It's a horrible kit - hope they get rid of it. It does seem a little cynical the way we wear it every now and then so people remember it exists. How often have we actually worn our proper away kit over the whole season?

I think it is quite smart.

How can it be cynical? the FL requires teams have a third kit, the FL may be cynical, but don't get on the back of the club over it.

We are wearing it tonight, however we are wearing it with the 'alternative' yellow shorts, which have actually been used more than the navy shorts that were meant to go with the away kit.

How it should be:

How it normally is worn:

Probably because if we didn't then there would be some fans who would complain because we didn't wear our third kit often enough, they would possibly use message boards to make such complaints. The club is probably sick and tired of people constantly whingeing about everything they ever do, even though the FL require them to have a third kit, and the fact that whatever they do, they could NEVER design 3 kits that everyone would like. So best use the kit, rather then leave it to rot just because some people don't like it. After all, it was probably a director of the club who chose it, and he probably likes it, and has the right to do so.
