I know i am an oldie and went away when it was standing and non ticket, but, if it were a basic pay at the gate game tomorrow, and you could stand, and not have to buy in advance, how many do you think would go?

When you did go and it was standing and pay at the gate, how did you find out what train to get there and where to drink?

Back in the day, before the wonder of the internet, NSC and beerintheevening.com, I'd just jump in the nearest boozer to whatever station I was jumping out of.

I've been to some seriously shit pubs.

Yeah but it made men of us.

Incidentally I wouldnt go too much on beerintheevening reccomendations. Its easy for a landlord to give a load of his regulars a drink and say big the pub up on there and hey preston 9.5/10 for a craphole.

Everytime we get a big match you can be sure of Tubby's shaking his head at the proliferation of train and pub threads.

It really annoys you, doesn't it :lolol:

He has a point though as the one away game ia year shows in some fans

Mr Hut will be going with Hadlee. Would be nice to say Hi-Ho at the Ground as long as it is not over a row over a seat.

Obviously Tubby cannot believe that not everybody will be heading over to the Market Porter, best pub in London etc. Still, you can be sure to find him in there.

Can someone explain to me why Tubby Mondays goes onto an internet message board to complain about people discussing something too much on an internet message board?

i think,to be fair, hes only moaning because basically one in every three threads are about Charlton, most are repeats,a lot are stupid questions which would take one small part of the brain to work out oneself and it does seem a bit like its 'our cup final'........if we came accross these posts on an orient site about a game with us i bet loads would be taking the piss at the little orient and their cup final etc etc
